Like many modern artists I've sought to create compositions by taking micro elements (elements of design) and arranging such small parts into unified pictures.
Though I've not dwelt much on what I should do paintings about (subject matter) suitable subjects often reveal themselves in the process of doing the work. It's very much a 'here and now' thing whereby one seizes the opportunities as they present themselves and thus obtains the maximum response via the act of creation.
Whilst I have begun to work in a more planned manner, viz. , according to strongly preconceived ideas and images; essentially I maintain a similar approach to composition as was used prior to the completion of the work shown here.
